    Other area teams still playing tonight

    (Published November 14, 2008) Northwestern is the third Herald-area football team to postpone a playoff game scheduled for tonight.

    The Trojans will instead host the York Cougars on Saturday night at 7:30 at District Three Stadium.

    Earlier today, Lancaster football coach Bennie McMurray said the Bruins’ game at Greenwood in the Class AAAA Division II playoffs has been moved to Saturday night at 6.

Clover man pleads guilty to embezzling

(Published November 13, 2008) CLOVER -- A longtime Clover Rescue Squad member admitted in court last week that he embezzled more than $30,000 from the squad.

Charles "Chuck" Gibson, 32, pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery and one felony count of obtaining goods by false pretenses, according to a news release from the 16th Circuit Solicitor's Office.
